IAC just popped out an e-mail advertising a panel session on December 6th at The Willard in DC with luminaries involved in the Lines of Business initiatives. Panelists are:
- Charles Havekost, Chief Information Officer, Health and Human Services, and ex-Grants.gov Program Manager
- Jeff Koch, E-Gov portfolio manager for the Internal Efficiency & Effectiveness, Office of Management and Budget
- Sam Mok, Chief Information Officer, Department of Labor
- John Sindelar, Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of Governmentwide Policy, General
Services Administration
The moderator will be Kathleen Rundle, Associate Chief Information Officer, Department of Agriculture. According to the e-mail, "The panelists will discuss the goals, plans and challenges for their individual agencies in relation to the OMB Lines of Business initiatives." It’s only $25 (but you need to be an IAC member to attend), and it’s open to the press and on-the-record. So it’s less likely that anything really interesting will be discussed (!) but anyone interested in where e-government is going should turn up. Log in to the ACT/IAC portal to register.
