Grants.gov Find and Apply merger — now December 19

Just received an e‑mail about this from Grants.gov. Highlights below:

Grants.gov is pleased to announce the new date for its Find and Apply merge will occur on December 19th. This marks another important accomplishment for Grants.gov
initiative. On this date, Grants.gov will fully merge the two federal web sites it currently manages: www.fedgrants.gov and www.grants.gov. Also, beginning on Monday, December 19th, Fedgrants.gov will cease operations and you will need only to access Grants.gov to post funding opportunities on Find and grant application packages on Apply. If you go to Fedgrants.gov on Monday, December 19th, you will be redirected to the Grants.gov homepage (again, this is the same merge that originally was planned for October 31st but was delayed).

In the meantime, there are three important items that you will need to know to ensure a smooth and
successful transition:

  • Ensure you have a Grants.gov Username and Password by Monday, December
    19th
  • Grants.gov System Downtime:
[Limited Fedgrants.gov functionality from 17:00 EST 12/15/05 to 12/19/05. The message here, I think, is to get your house in order by 12/15/05 because all data will be migrated to the new servers as long as it’s loaded onto fedgrants.gov by then. But check with Grants.gov to ensure this is correct!][Grants.gov will be unavailable from 18:00 EST 12/16/05 to 12/19/05.]

It’s great that these two resources will now be under one architecture. Good luck, Grants.gov!
