Honored for substantial contribution to federal government IT

Washington, DC, July 20, 2009: Rich Renomeron, a Senior Engineer with Turner Consulting Group (TCG) has been selected by 1105 Government Information Group for a 2009 Rising Star award.  The program recognizes top public and private sector employees who have made an early — and substantive — mark in the government information technology community.  Mr. Renomeron was one of 27 individuals from over 160 nominees selected for this prestigious honor.  Mr. Renomeron’s accomplishments and complete Rising Star profile can be viewed at http://fcw.com/articles/2009/08/10/rising-star-renomeron.aspx.

Mr. Renomeron is a senior engineer in the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Budget Systems Branch (BSB), where he leads a team of IT professionals from a variety of companies to implement services and systems that support government-wide activities for the Budget Formulation and Execution Line of Business (BFELoB).  Rich has supported many innovations at OMB and has pushed and helped BSB to adopt open source technologies and standards, which are now the foundation of the BFELoB and BSB’s philosophy and approach. Based on Rich’s work, OMB has embraced the use of the web. Most notably, Rich led implementation and enhancement of the MAX Federal Community, a wiki-based collaboration site that now serves over 14,000 users across the government.
