Company Honored by Washington Business Journal
Washington, DC, April 1, 2014: TCG, a leading government technology strategy and IT advisor, has been named by the Washington Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in Greater Washington. The awards, which are divided into small, medium, and large size business categories, honor DC area employers that go beyond t[img_assist|nid=323|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=100]he norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment. The award winners are based on confidential employee surveys completed by the staff of each applicant organization.
The Washington Business Journal will hold a breakfast awards ceremony on May 9 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner to honor the winners and announce the final company rankings in each size category. All winners will be profiled in a special supplement in the May 9 issue of the Washington Business Journal.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of the best places to work in the DC area,” said TCG President Daniel Turner. “We’ve made significant outlays for our employees in recent years, increasing vacation time, allowing employees to ‘purchase’ vacation, doubling training budgets, and dramatically increasing company-furnished life insurance to three times salary. One of our most interesting and most popular innovations for employees is the TCG Spree. Employees who want to get groups of employees together for social or work-related events can use a special TCG Spree fund to make it happen. So far we’ve funded a TCG Women in Technology group and a TCG Toddlers group for employees here less than three years, and someone threatened to host a Zumba event. Upcoming events still being planned are paintball/lasertag, bowling, a Nats game, and going to a local theater performance of ‘Trapped in a Room with a Zombie.’ We are awestruck by our people’s ingenuity, at work and at play, and we want to do whatever we can to keep our employees happy.”
