Recognized for Exceptional Growth
Washington, DC, June 22, 2012: TCG, a leading government technology strategy and IT advisor, announced that it has been named a finalist for the 2012 GovStar Awards. TCG is a finalist in the Small Business Star Performer category, which recognizes government contractors that have experienced significant growth. The awards are sponsored by SmartCEO magazine.
The GovStar Awards program honors local government contracting firms in the Washington, DC area for their technology innovation, workplace environment, growth, veteran support, and contributions to the industry and marketplace. The Government contracting business is extremely competitive and the GovStar Awards recognizes companies that strive for excellence in this complex and competitive sector.
“TCG has grown tremendously over the last few years and I attribute this all to our industrious staff and customers,” said TCG President Daniel Turner. “I firmly believe that we’re a finalist for this award because of their hard work and determination to improve government using IT.”
In addition to the Star Performer category, other awards include : Industry Star, which recognizes individuals who are exemplary leaders among their peers in the industry; Technical Trailblazer, which recognizes Government contractors that have developed an innovative technological product or breakthrough; Star Work Place for companies that have created a dynamic, fun workplace environment for their employees; and Star Warfighter, which honors companies that support safety/well-being of the armed forces. Finalists in all categories are divided by size (small, medium and large) and will be featured in the October issue of SmartCEO. TCG and all other finalists will be feted at the GovStar awards ceremony on October 18, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency in Arlington VA. Winners will be announced the night of the event in each respective category.
Because local government contractors exhibit a strong commitment to the armed forces, SmartCEO will contribute a portion of the GovStar award program’s proceeds to the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation. The Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation is a 501© 3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to our Wounded EOD Warriors and their families in the form of financial relief.
