NASA Honors TCG Personnel

Multi-agency Team Honored with Group Award

TCG staff on the Treasury BFEM team will be honored by NASA on October 30th, 2014, at the agency’s annual Agency Honor Awards. NASA is bestowing the Group Achievement Award to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer’s (OFCO’s) Performance Management Systems Team, which includes TCG personnel. The Group Achievement Award is “awarded to any combination of Government and/or non-Government individuals for an outstanding group accomplishment that has contributed substantially to NASA’s mission.”

The OFCO’s Performance Measure Manager (PMM) “is designed to collect, aggregate, and report performance information and to support agencies accomplishment of strategic goals/objectives.” TCG manages the development of the PMM system that supports the team.

When TCG’s President, Daniel Turner, learned of the award he said, “Wow, a NASA award? That’s amazing! I’m always so excited when the work we and our subcontractors perform every day has such far-reaching impacts across the government and, in NASA’s case, across the solar system. Our clients are intelligent, knowledgeable people who have a clear vision of how to improve the world, and we are privileged to work with them.”

About NASA’s Agency Honor Awards

NASA’s most prestigious honor awards are approved by the Administrator and presented to a number of carefully selected individuals and groups of individuals, both Government and non-Government, who have distinguished themselves by making outstanding contributions to the Agency’s mission. The Chair of the Incentive Awards Board (IAB) annually requests nominations for the various NASA honor awards. After a rigorous review, the nominations are forwarded to the IAB chair for approval. NASA medals and/or certificates are, subsequently, presented to the award recipients by the Agency’s highest officials at the annual awards ceremonies held at NASA Headquarters and each NASA Center.
