Washington, DC — TCG is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) from the Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division (WHD). The BPA will support the modernization of IT services in three key areas: enterprise data management, business process management, and customer service delivery framework. The BPA has an anticipated value of $110 million through 2025.
The contract’s nine awardees will assist in:
- developing new capabilities in an agile, iterative fashion;
- capturing agency knowledge and expertise to leverage for training and process improvement;
- improving customer satisfaction, timely case handling and adaptive policies; and
- developing and deploying modules as business processes are reengineered.
Critical areas for modernization include enforcement, financial operations, wage determinations, certification, and public-facing web applications.
The mission of the WHD is “to promote and achieve compliance with labor standards to protect and enhance the welfare of the nation’s workforce,” and the BPA calls for an Agile development approach for new applications and capabilities to support the WHD in this mission. TCG’s experience and demonstrated excellence in Agile processes, including its proprietary SMRT management methodology, was a contributing factor in the award.
Quoting the company’s mission, TCG Vice President Dave Cassidy said, “Fair labor practices, child labor regulations, and the Family and Medical Leave Act improve the world around us, in big and little ways, every day. We are excited to help WHD support all Americans by modernizing the IT tools and business processes that carry out its vital mission.”
