(Via Boing Boing) A Viennese art group called netznetz has decided to use a “reputation system” to decide how it will distribute the grant money it receives from the local government. The aim is to encourage collaboration among the grantee community (in this case, art and culture groups) by creating a forum and tool that will allow participants to rate each other’s work on an ongoing basis. I can see lots of potential problems in this but, all the same, it’s a fascinating experiment in dynamic peer review!
