NITRC Proves that “Chance Favors the Connected Mind”

Wins 2015 HHS Innovates Award as “Biggest Bang for the Buck”.

Adding to its 2009 Excellence.gov Award and proving its relevance and longevity, the Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse (NITRC) was recently selected by the Health and Human Services (HHS) IDEA Lab 2015 HHS Innovates Award Finalist, under the category “Biggest Bang for the Buck”. NITRC is a system that allows researchers to store and find useful neuroscience data to further their research. Commenced in 2009, NITRC has saved the government an estimated $35.3 million thanks to its data services alone.
