GSA now competing FFATA database work

Matt Jillings at Compusearch pinged me about this posting [PDF version] on FedBizOpps for “The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) Data”. This seems to replace the prior sole source procurement intended for Eagle Eye, who developed FedSpending.org. I wonder why GSA is now competing this requirement?

Anyway, it’s almost impossible for anyone else to compete on this legitimately, given the Statement of Work (AttachmentII-StatementofWork.doc), and the fact that bids are due on August 24th.

  1. Hi — just wanted to point out that OMB Watch, not Eagle Eye, developed the FedSpending.org website. OMB Watch purchased some data from Eagle Eye for the website, but the design and functionality, as well as most of the data, was developed by OMB Watch.
    Thanks!
