Grants.gov gets new leadership

Grants.gov has a new program manager to guide it through the challenges of servicing the Recovery Act. Phillip Clark, a member of the HHS Office of the Chief Information Officer, will be Acting Program Manager as Eben Trevino moves to become Senior Policy Advisor to Sheila Conley in the Office of Finance.

Apparently Mr. Clark has been advising the Grants.gov PMO for some time, so stepping into the leadership role should be a relatively smooth process.

This comes after recent concerns about Grants.gov’s ability to scale up for the number of applications anticipated for Recovery Act funds.
